I tried this place for my first time and it was soooo good the tacos and the quesadillas I recommend this place for people that are looking for tacos nearby
Tacos Puro Jalisco is dangerously good--and dangerously close to home. This spot has become my go-to whenever I crave bold, authentic flavors. Their asada tacos are pure perfection--juicy, tender, and packed with that smoky, char-grilled goodness. But if you're ready to level up, the campechana is where it's at--a mouthwatering medley of all their meats that feels like a flavor explosion in every bite. What truly takes their tacos to the next level, though, are the extras. The pickled onions bring a vibrant, tangy crunch that balances the richness of the meat beautifully. And let's not forget the habanero salsa--it's fiery, flavorful, and has just the right amount of heat to make every bite memorable. It's the kind of place that calls to you, especially when it's just around the corner. The temptation to swing by "just one more time" is real, and honestly, who could resist? The flavors are consistent, the portions are generous, and those toppings... chef's kiss. If you're in Fullerton and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Tacos Puro Jalisco isn't just a taco joint--it's a love letter to all things delicious.
Very underrated spot and deserves a higher score IMO. They are located in a not-so-good plaza and area in Fullerton but the interior has been modernized more than you would expect. I found their infatuation with indigo light signs funny, but that gives them their charm. Unfortunately the ventilation isn't good in there especially when it gets busy. I would say everything I tried there has been good. I don't think I'm a fan of the pork belly, but their goat birria is probably their signature item. I'd like to try their various soups on a cold day some time. Prices were also cheaper than other competitors. I'm happy to add them to the recommended list for Mexican food in the north OC: -Cha Chas: for breakfast, ambiance, happy hour -Cholo: for burritos, salsas, papa loca, fancy meat options -Don Goyo: tacos, hand made tortillas, mulitas, quesadillas, lengua -Ensenada: fish tacos, ceviche -Puro: goat birria, soup options, pricing
The star is the birria de chivo, slow simmered goat meat in birria consommé. All the other meats are great too but the chivo was outstanding.
Me and my family were visiting california and we came across this Mexican restaurant and we all loved the food we hot we got, it was so good. They were all lovely people and their service was great. I recommend this.
My friend introduced me to this hidden Gem and I can't get enough now. I'm a wet burrito fanatic and their wet burritos are to die for. Their meat is so tender and flavorful and the prices are unmatched. There is always a line when I go but that's to be understood, the place is amazing! There is a small outside seating area and also inside seating, but you have to grab your food when they call your number and seat yourself. Their tacos are great also, and they have a salsa bar so you can serve yourself. But to my the star of the show is the wet burrito, if you love them as much as I do, you gotta try this place out!
Wow! Solid tacos and all for a great price (4 for under $9 ). I got buche , Al pastor , and Campechana and Christie got Al Pastor, Buche, Tripa and Campechana. My friend and I both really thought that the buche was good it was more on the chewy and it was a little smokey ! We thought the Campechana was exciting to eat as it variety of meats, and we thought the Al pastor was mid. The trips was solid as well and she tried our friend's asada and really enjoyed it. Also we tried menudo ‼ for ‼the ‼first ‼ time ‼ sooooo buss you could really taste the hours and the melted tripe flavor in the soup it was definitely a richer broth but loved filling the tortillas it came with with the soup and some other random meats. Would come back here in a heartbeat !
This is about as authentic as it gets. It helps if you speak a little Spanish but it's not absolutely necessary. Yes, you can get grilled chicken or steak here, or a cheese quesadilla. But if you're ordering that stuff, you're ordering wrong. Come here for the birria. Here's what you need to get: Birria burrito, quesabirria taco, and the consommé. The birria in the burrito is absolutely luscious and tender. It's terrific. The consommé is also excellent. I used it like a sauce and I drank it right from the cup. If you like spice, make sure you try their hot sauces. They are legitimately very hot. They even have one that looks like red motor oil that'll burn your lips off. The front entrance area is tiny but they actually have a large seating area. Free parking in the lot. Excellent birria!
